Rejected...

I'd feel bad if it were not for the amazing efficiency. Less than two weeks after I sent the story out, there was the rejection letter in the mailbox. Hats off to The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Well done.

Now, where will I submit it next?

F&SF has the quickest turnout of all the majors, because their slush pile reader, JJA, has really streamlined and automated his process. Depending on the rejection letter, you can tell if he stopped reading at the first paragraph, the first page, or if he completed the story.

Thanks for the comment. I'm guessing first paragraph or so as he said it 'didn't grab his interest'.

Fair enough. It will find a home somewhere.

Thanks again.
